Project: Mini Pot Luck cum First Club Assembly Venue: Taman Dagang, Ampang (Ru Po's house) 16 September 2006, Saturday.
Due to the heavy downpour, we could not manage to start the mini potluck and 1st club assembly on time. Moreover, at the half way while everybody is busy preparing the international cuisine, we realized that we do not have any water supply in the house!!!Oh My God!! It's all because we forgot to switch on the main water pipe. Hahaha... What a joke of the day! Thank god we managed to cook all the cuisine before everyone arrive. During the first general meeting, the IS Director, Lim Ru Po, had already divided members into their own groups based on the respective avenue. Club Service Avenue, they had agreed to come out with the Vietnam and Thai cuisine. They chose to cook the Sweet Vietnamese Roll as our dessert. The Sweet Vietnamese Roll is made from Vietnamese spring roll skin, whereby it is rolled with coconut slice, honey cube and sesame as topping (hand made). As for the Thai, they prepared the Tom Yam Fish and also Sweet and Sour Chicken Fillet Soup. The taste is too salty...too much of tom yam paste, I guess! Sweet Vietnamese Roll Tom Yam Soup On the other hand, Community Service Avenue, preferred to cook cuisine from China and India. They chose to cook the Yummy Curry Chicken with Indian style bread, which everyone said it was tasty, and the most unforgettable Chinese Seaweed Soup. It is made from Chinese seaweed, fish paste, chicken fillet and many other seafood ingredients. Besides that, they had also brought the Chinese Herbal Jelly known as "Kwai Ling Gou". 'Kwai Ling Gou'

As for the International Service Avenue, they had agreed to cook the Cheesy Escargots all the way from France and Cheesy Spaghetti with Chicken. The based of the escargots is the mashed potatoes and on top of it, they applied it with yummy cheese. The spaghetti’s sauce is made from tomato puree and added with some chicken ham, carrots, fresh tomatoes, vegetables and many other ingredients. To make the spaghetti taste better, they added some cheese in the sauce. The members of International Service Avenue are very creative as they created their spaghetti with carrots. Cheesy Escargots
Cheesy Chicken Spaghetti Last but not least, Professional Development Avenue cooked the Japanese Sushi and Japanese Vegetarian Soba. The most special cuisine is the Vegetarian Soba because usually Soba is served with soup, but this time around, they fried the Soba with carrots and broccoli. Very interesting… Fried Soba
Sushi The Mini Pot Luck started around 7.30p.m. Siew Peng and Nellie brought along their guests (Selina and Daniel). We had also decided to vote for the most delicious and creative food. Everyone is only allowed to vote twice. At the end of the session, the winner is International Service Avenue and they had got a mini chocolate hamper. Congrats to them!! Overall, the Mini Pot Luck is a great success because everyone had a wonderful and an enjoyable time. After the Mini Pot Luck, we proceed our First Club Assembly.
